Accessing your nethome folder using a Mac on campus

To access your nethome folder using a Mac on campus, follow the steps below:

Make sure the menu at the top of your Mac screen is the Finder menu. As shown in the picture below. Click on Go, then click on Connect to Server...

In the Server Address field, type smb://nethome.mc.maricopa.edu, then click Connect.

Two windows will appear, the first showing the attempt to connect. On the second one, click Authenticate

In the NAME field, your MCC username should be filled in. If it is not, type it in. Then type in your MCC password in the Password field. Click OK

In the drop-down box, your username should now be showing. Click OK

A window will appear showing the contents of your nethome folder. Anything thing placed in this folder is only accessible by you. If you need any files to be available via the web, double-click the www folder and place your files in there. If you have a personal MCC website, this is where the files for it will be.

This icon also appears on your desktop when your nethome folder window appeared. You can use this icon to open up your window again in case you accidentally close it. Also, when you are ready to clsoe your conenction to your nethome folder you can drag this to your Trash icon on your dock.
