How to Create your NetHome directory

Every employee of MCC is eligible to have a NetHome directory. This directory is how an employee would create their personal web pages or pages for their courses.

  • To create your NetHome directory, you first need to log in to the MyMCC portal.
  • Once you've logged in, on the left side of your screen will be a menu similar to that shown in Figure 1.
  • Under the Communication heading, click on the Employee NetHome link (highlighted with a red rectangle in Figure 1.)

  • Click the radio button next to Request creation of a home directory (highlighted with a red rectangle in Figure 2.)
  • Click the Submit button (circled in red in Figure 2.)



  • Now that your NetHome directory is created, please see this article for instructions on how to connect to it!
  • Once your directory is created and you've populated it with some content, you can direct people to your web pages by sending them to:
    • http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/~<your MyMCC username>
    • So if your MyMCC username is "smith," the link to your page would be http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/~smith
    • Do not forget to put the "~" character in before your username. This character is called a tilde. It is located to the left of the number 1 key and below the ESC key on most keyboards.
