How to log in to WebCT

Mesa Community College does not use the district wide implementation of Blackboard. We use a software called WebCT, which was later purchased by the company that makes Blackboard. As a result, you may see our course management system referred to by either name.

Log in to the MyMCC Portal
In order to log in to Mesa's WebCT/Blackboard, you first need to go to the MyMCC portal (Click here to go to the MyMCC Portal) You should see a screen similar to the image on the left. You will need to log in using your MyMCC account credentials.
- If you do not have a MyMCC account, click the Create an Account link on the login screen.

- If you have forgotten your MyMCC username or password, there are links to assist with that as well.
Once you've logged in, you'll see a screen similar to the image on the right. Click on the WebCT link (circled in red in the image.) That will take you directly into Mesa's WebCT/Blackboard.
If you scroll down further, you will see a list of classes you are enrolled in (or teaching.) For classes that have WebCT content, you will see links to WebCT immediately to the right of the class name (See the Course Listing illustration on the left - links circled in red.)
Please note that not every class has WebCT content associated with it. This is why the first two classes in the illustration do not have the WebCT links after them.
What to do if your Classes do not show in WebCT
If you do not see links to WebCT anywhere once you've logged in, it may be for one of several reasons:
- If you recently created your MyMCC account, it may take up to four hours before your account information is activated in WebCT. It usually doesn't take that long, but at peak times, such as the beginning of a semester, this may be the case.
- Not all classes have WebCT content associated with them. If you suspect that your class should have WebCT content, please contact your instructor for clarification. You may also contact TSS during our Hours of Operation and we can verify if your class has WebCT content associated with it.
- When contacting TSS, please have your class and section number information handy (for example: WST209 20820).
- At the beginning of a semester, sometimes instructors have not yet gotten their WebCT content ready, or made their course live. Please contact your instructor for clarification.
